Our Mission
The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) associated with the UN Department of Public Information and accredited with the UN Economic Social Council. Founded in 1959, the WLCU strives to unite the Lebanese diaspora and friends of Lebanon in conservation of the country’s culture and heritage.
As a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, the WLCU is interested in the preservation of Lebanon as an independent, democractic country which places human rights, freedom, and justice at the forefront. It serves as a network of constituent members across 390 active chapters worldwide and fosters friendship and mutual respect as well as economic, social, and educational activities between Lebanon and the nations in which the diaspora resides.

Declaration
The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) is an independent International Non-governmental Organization (I.N.G.O.) that was founded in 1960. The WLCU was instituted to promote the cultural aspects of the Lebanese people throughout the world. The WLCU is a non-profit organization, non-sectarian, and independent of the Lebanese government.
The WLCU is associated with the DPI of the United Nations and accredited at the ECOSOC with a “Special” Consultative Status. It is the sole official representative of the Lebanese Diaspora.
