Dear members and supporters,
We are thrilled to announce that this year, our organization is proudly sponsoring the Lebanese Association at UCLA! We are especially proud about this project , which involves planting our iconic cedar tree at one of California’s most prestigious universities. This partnership perfectly reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering community and cultural pride.
As part of our sponsorship, we are honored to support the association in planting a Lebanese Cedar tree ( Cedrus libani) on the UCLA campus , within the Mildred E.Mathias Botanical Garden. The estimated cost for this project is $7500.This initiative not only honors our rich cultural heritage but also enhances the beauty of the campus, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
We invite you to contribute to this meaningful cause by donating to help raise the necessary funds. Your support is crucial in making this vision a reality. The WLCU LA Chapter has already pledged a significant donation towards this project. All donations are tax deductible and checks should be made payable to WLCU. Become Part Of The LEBolution
Born from an idea during a 2013 WLCU Youth conference in Lebanon and first materialized in the summer of 2015, LEBolution is a world gathering of the Lebanese diaspora’s youth. For over a week LEBolutioners connect with their motherland through a “tabbouleh” of cultural, touristic, social and humanitarian activities around the entire country in the company of Lebanese descendants from all over the world!
Of course, we take the opportunity to have fun and also give back to our motherland. We have traditionally held blood donation campaigns, a symbolic Day of Peace and integration activities with children of the martyrs of the Lebanese Army. All this mixed with dabkeh workshops, beach parties, delicious Lebanese meals, a cultural exchange closing dinner, and amazing new friendships to close off a unique experience visiting home.

Dear Members and Supporters,
I, Guilda Asmar, proudly serve as the President of the WLCU Greater Los Angeles Chapter. As we embark on another year of promoting Lebanese culture, I want to share some of our remarkable initiatives.
Founded in 1960, the WLCU is an independent International Non-governmental Organization dedicated to showcasing Lebanese heritage worldwide. With over 200 chapters globally, we connect Lebanese individuals from all walks of life.
Our flagship program, Lebolution, brings together 200 young men and women to foster their Lebanese identity and build lasting bonds. Additionally, our ESSAY program provides scholarships to students of different backgrounds and ages.
Through events and gatherings, we raise funds and support various causes. At our recent event, we donated to Evolve, empowering women through education in Lebanon.
I’m excited to announce our upcoming Gala, the Courage Award, honoring Dr. Philip Salem, an international statesman in cancer medicine. We aim to raise funds to support cancer patients in Lebanon.
To achieve our goal, we seek sponsors for our Gala, offering recognition at the event and on our website. By joining forces, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of cancer patients.
